Revelstoke Mountain

A $1 billion (Calgary
Herald, January 17, 2007), world class
ski resort is now running in the Revelstoke
area at Mount MacKenzie. Revelstoke has some of the
best snow in the world and this ski resort is 1 hour
from Galena Bay (including ferry ride). Even without
this resort there is local skiing and many cat skiing
and heli skiing operations that work out of this area.
However, with this resort and the amount of money that
is going into it, it will almost certainly have a
positive impact on real estate prices similar to what
Ferni had on the immediate area when that ski resort was
fully developed.
